Welcoming 30 pupils from Daisy Georges Martin Secondary School in Irigny for a hands-on experience means, above all, giving them a roadmap for their future.
The aim of the morning was clear: to introduce them to the variety of careers and the day-to-day workings of a business through practical and engaging activities.
For three hours, the pupils followed the complete journey of a product, from design to sale:
– Total immersion: a rotation through seven different departments led by our own employees.
– The ‘Keyring’ project: a practical tool to introduce them to marketing, manufacturing, sales and even accounting.
– Big-picture view: understanding how each role, from design and procurement to logistics, contributes to the ultimate success of a project.
There’s nothing quite like hands-on experience to help these young people envisage their future and imagine their own career paths.
A big thank you to the pupils for their curiosity, and to the supervisors and Metaconcept staff for their commitment to sharing their expertise and for making themselves available.
